Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how EasyText ("EasyText," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit easytext.io, create an account, use our email and text-messaging platform, or otherwise interact with us.

1. Scope and our role

This policy applies to website visitors, prospective and current customers, account users, and support contacts. Customers may also upload or direct us to process information about their subscribers and message recipients. For that recipient information, the customer determines why and how it is used, and EasyText acts as a service provider or processor on the customer's behalf. Recipients should contact the business that sent the message to exercise rights concerning that business's campaign data.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the service, we may collect:

  • Account and identity information, such as name, business name, email address, telephone number, login credentials, role, and preferences.
  • Business-verification information, such as legal business name, tax or registration identifiers, business type, address, website, authorized representative details, and documents needed for payment, fraud prevention, Know Your Customer (KYC), carrier, or A2P registration reviews.
  • Billing information, including billing contact, transaction, subscription, balance, and invoice details. Payment card data is handled by our payment processor; we do not intentionally store full payment-card numbers or security codes.
  • Customer content and recipient data, such as contact names, phone numbers, email addresses, consent status, audiences, message content, campaign settings, replies, opt-out requests, and suppression records.
  • Usage, device, and log information, such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, dates and times, referral URLs, authentication events, clicks, delivery events, carrier responses, and diagnostic logs.
  • Communications, including support requests, feedback, and other correspondence with us.

3. How we collect information

We collect information directly from you; automatically through the website and service; from customers that upload recipient data; and from service providers such as communications carriers, identity and fraud-prevention services, payment processors, analytics providers, and integration partners. Customers must have all rights and permissions required to provide recipient data to us.

4. How we use information

We use personal information to provide, secure, and improve the service; authenticate users; administer accounts; process payments; deliver email and SMS messages requested by customers; route replies; maintain consent, suppression, and delivery records; perform KYC, fraud, sanctions, carrier, and A2P reviews; provide analytics and support; communicate about the service; enforce our terms; prevent abuse; comply with law; and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. We may use aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify an individual for analytics, research, and service improvement.

5. How we disclose information

We may disclose information to:

  • Service providers and subprocessors that perform hosting, storage, communications delivery, carrier connectivity, identity verification, fraud prevention, billing, customer support, analytics, and security services for us.
  • Integrations and third parties you direct us to use when you connect an account or request a transfer.
  • Carriers, campaign registries, and compliance partners as needed to register senders, route messages, investigate abuse, or meet messaging-industry requirements.
  • Authorities and other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process; protect rights, safety, and security; prevent fraud or abuse; or enforce our agreements.
  • Transaction participants in connection with a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

Mobile information: We do not share mobile opt-in data or consent with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may share it with vendors and subcontractors only to provide supporting services, such as message delivery, customer service, or platform operations. Text-message originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from any other data-sharing use.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to keep you signed in, remember settings, protect accounts, understand service performance, and diagnose errors. Browser controls may allow you to block cookies, but blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the service from working.

7. Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain business and compliance records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, tax, accounting, carrier, and fraud-prevention obligations. Retention periods vary by data type and context. We may retain suppression and consent records after account closure when needed to honor opt-outs and demonstrate compliance.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls, authentication, logging, and encryption in transit where appropriate. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting account credentials and promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized access.

9. Your choices and privacy rights

You may update account information in the service, unsubscribe from our marketing emails using the link provided, and opt out of marketing texts by replying STOP. Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of certain personal information, or to appeal a decision. We may verify your identity before acting on a request. Authorized agents may submit requests when permitted by law and may be required to provide proof of authority.

To submit a request concerning your EasyText account, email support@easytext.io. If your request concerns messages sent by one of our customers, contact that sender first; we will assist our customer as required by applicable law.

10. Children's privacy

The service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided us personal information.

11. International use

The service is operated from the United States. If you access it from another country, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other places where our service providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our service or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice through the service or by email.
